THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND DURING SERVICES

There are no stupid questions!

If you have trouble asking; don’t like or understand the answers,  you need to let that be known!

There are no secrets from you about your services!

You have a right to know my professional opinion regarding anything involving your services.

Psychologists can’t read minds!

I may not know what you expect, need, believe, feel, or, want to avoid unless you tell me.

We only have one relationship!

I only see clients for professional psychological services, not otherwise: e.g. legal, medical, etc.

There are real boundaries and limits to the relationship!

My practice is defined by law, regulations, professional ethics and contracts:
it can get complicated.

There will be a lot of choices for both of us along the way!!

You are as free to request changes in services as I am to recommend them.
You are free to discontinue services, but I am also generally free to refuse further services.

 You probably will have different questions or hopes depending on
whether or not you are familiar with these kinds of services.

 You may have fears or confused expectations: pretty normal!
